Beats on the Creek 2022 was a highlight of the summer for many of those in downtown Denver. Presented by Coohills Restaurant for five Tuesdays this summer, live music was held on the pedestrian bridge at Speer Boulevard and Wewatta Street. All proceeds from the event this year support Cottonwood Institute’s programming in middle and high schools. We raised $27,650 this year through your support – our best year yet!
This year, the shows featured Mr. Majestyk’s 8 Track Revival, That 80’s Band, The Long Run, Anavrin’s Day, and StoneBeat Invasion. Under beautiful Denver skies, each Tuesday provided an opportunity to meet with friends, have a drink, listen to awesome local music, and watch the sunset on the bridge.
We would like to thank our sponsors of Beats on the Creek 2022, including: Alliance Bernstein, Big Blue Swim School, Coohills, Land Title, Trent Peaker from MegaStar Financial, and an anonymous sponsor. An additional shoutout to all of those who attended a Beats on the Creek this year! And huge thank you to Coohills Restaurant for their continued support of Cottonwood Institute – it wouldn’t be possible without the Coohills team! The $27,650 raised this year supports our CAP programs in middle and high schools in the Denver, Aurora, and Boulder County communities. This sum is the equivalent of four semesters of CAP class at a school, including food and transportation costs for trips!
