CAP students are expected to broaden their outdoor knowledge and skill base by tapping into the rich educational resources in their community. In order to accomplish this goal, students will take advantage of the free outdoor skills clinics, workshops, and slide shows offered by outdoor retail stores in the Colorado Front Range. Below are some of the hot events going in the community this week:
Tuesday, December 2, 2003 – Telemark Skiing Tips and Techniques, Mountain Sports, Boulder, 7pm.
Wednesday, December 3, 2003 – Cross Country Skiing Technique with Eldora, Mountain Sports, Boulder, 7pm.
Wednesday, December 3, 2003 – Introduction to Bouldering, 6:30 – 7:30pm @ EMS in Boulder; 7:30 – 8:30pm @ The Spot in Boulder. For more info, call 303.442.7566.
Thursday, December 4, 2003 – The Shining Wall – West Face of Gasherbrum IV with Robert Schauer, Neptune Mountaineering, Boulder, 7pm.
Thursday, December 4, 2003, Atlas Women’s Explore Winter Workshop, REI Flagship, Denver, 7pm.
Saturday, December 7, 2003, Erik Weihenmayer Celebrates Climbing and Pets, Adam’s Mark Hotel, Downtown Denver, 1550 Court Place, 7pm. Tickets are free, but must be picked up at the REI Flagship in Denver.
