UPDATE: We are happy to report that Wynkoop Brewing Company’s Charity Tap Program in January 2018 was wildly successful and they donated $1,600 to help support Cottonwood Institute programs in 2018!

Come on out and support Cottonwood Institute this month at Wynkoop Brewing Company!  We are the Charity Tap Beneficiary for the month of January. The way it works is that $1 per charity pint order is donated to CI now through January 31, 2018.  But you must ask for the “Charity Tap” pint for it to count! 

Wixa Weiss is the charity tap this month. This Bavarian-style, unfiltered wheat beer features classic aromas of clove and banana over an immensely quaffable and bready blond beer. A GABF gold medal winner, it’s fermented with a German yeast (from the Hans Hopf Brewery) brought back years ago by Wynkoop’s founder, John Hickenlooper.  Story has it that Hickenlooper apparently “smuggled” it back in a beer bottle from Germany to start his own brew…this is the Wixa Weiss they are still making today!
