2017 has been an exciting year for the Cottonwood Institute Board of Directors! We started the year welcoming Joel Frank and Jessy Clark to the board and now we are excited to welcome 3 more board members who are storming the board with their passion and enthusiasm:

Jake Tiernan, an Attorney for Moye | White, a Certified B Corporation in Denver, CO recently joined the Cottonwood Institute board in May, 2017. Jake and his wife Kendra have been long-time supporters and donors and frequent guests of Cottonwood Institute events like the Base Camp Bash and The Throwdown. In fact, Jake and his teammate actually won The Throwdown, our charity cornhole tournament, back in 2012! Jake is passionate about making sure all students have an opportunity to explore the outdoors and lives with his family in Englewood, CO.

Wendy Stockholm joined the board in June 2017 and comes to us from K1 Investment Management, a private equity firm that invests in enterprise software. Wendy is excited to bring her sales and technology experience to Cottonwood Institute to help us do a better job engaging and connecting with our donors and supporters so we have the resources we need to focus on our mission and vision. Wendy lives in Erie, CO with her family and is also passionate about connecting students to the outdoors and empowering students to become future leaders.

Rivers Stilwell also joined the board in June 2017 and has a delicious background. Rivers is the Director of Management Training and Leadership Development at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, which makes the best pancakes and breakfast in America. Seriously, it is so good. Rivers grew up in Wyoming and has a passion for exploring the outdoors and encouraging students to exercise their voice and to stand up for what they believe in. Rivers and his family reside in Denver, CO.
